The Sydney 3 Day Event (Sydney 3DE) concluded today at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) with the jumping phase across all grades and, as was expected with such tightly packed leaderboards, an exciting finale it certainly was! In the CCI4* Andrew Barnett and Go Tosca leading the competition right from the start, had a lovely jumping round to seal the deal on their win. The Sydney 3 Day Event (Sydney 3DE) has run the cross-country phase of the competition today at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) and you couldn’t have asked for a much better day.  It was a little warm, but a nice light breeze and finishing early afternoon minimised any impacts from the heat.   In the CCI4* Andrew Barnett and ‘Go Tosca’ have solidified their lead, just picking up 3.6 time faults – taking their overall score to 28.9. Kenya Wilson and Sandros Salute MW made a big leap up the board to sit in second after a great cross-country phase and not adding to their Dressage score.

The Sydney 3 Day Event (Sydney 3DE) has kicked off at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) with 352 combinations completing the Dressage phase of their competition across 6 arenas. The weather couldn’t have been nicer for this first day of competition with the sun shining with a gentle breeze keeping temperatures under control. As the start of the SYD3DE draws near, let’s take a look at the 4* combinations and the program for 2023. The Bates Saddles CCI4*L will be a very competitive field. Riders are coming from far and wide. Sydney 3DE is delighted to announce that Christopher Bartle will be attending our event, 10-12 November 2023. Following an illustrious career as a rider representing Great Britain in both Dressage and Eventing, Christopher has become one of the most successful Eventing coaches of all time. For 16 years Christopher was National Coach to the German Olympic Eventing Team. Syd 3DE has moved to a new date. Due to the change in the calendar with Adelaide international now running in April, Sydney has moved to 10-12 November. The committee is excited for the new date as the event will now be the final major 3DE for 2023 and therefore a major focus for all Australian Eventing riders. Another change is that we are no longer running short format CCI classes. The classes for 2023 will EvA65, 80, 95, CCN1*, CCI2*L, CCI3*-L, CCI4*-L.
